Crock Pot Pinto Beans

I know you may be thinking... how is this a recipe???

But let me tell you, this recipe is so easy, and has lots of servings!! Best part is, you can run errands, and do your other house work while these beans cook in the crock pot.

Snag a bag of Pinto beans from your local farmers market or the grocery store.

Let them soak for about 30mins to an hour.

Dump them in the crockpot with a box of chicken broth

Add in a small can of Green Chilis, 1/2 a deseeded jalapeno, a few strips of raw bacon.

Turn the crock pot on high for 6 hours.

For our family, we make jalapeno/ cheddar corn bread, scoop the beans on top of that, cheese, and fresh pico.

After the first day or two, we use tortillas and make bean and cheese burritos.

I know sometimes my recipes aren't the healthiest, but I am always looking for easy and simple recipes that are also financially accessible!

Enjoy!
