I am going to summarize mine and the experiences I have heard and seen from some of my students, mixed in with a couple of facts! Let's get to it!

"The word "yoga" means "union".

The union of mind, body, spirit. As you may have heard before, "dis ease causes disease". With the world we live in today, you can imagine or may even feel that it can be a task to find ease... mentally, spiritually, and physically. That is why the practice of yoga is so important. Taking the time to bring your body back into "unity", not only that, but unity with the people around, a true comm"unity". Some of my greatest friendships have come from the yoga community. Yoga is not just a physical practice, but also the practice of making time for yourself and showing up even when you don't want to sometimes. The practice of coming back to your breath.... and even back to your mat when you've taken time away.

After you find the right type of class for you and your body, you realize that you leave feeling better every time. You don't quite understand why, you "just do", so you continue to show up for yourself and start to learn through the practice and the community, that yoga is feeding your soul as much as its strengthening your body. You're in a safe place of non-judgement, and love. Physically, you are opening energy storehouses throughout your body, which make you even more vulnerable in this space, providing a true opportunity to let go of what is no longer serving you, and be open enough to receive what is. I just knew that this was something that I wanted to share with others, so I became certified to do so. It has been a complete honour and a true blessing to be apart of peoples lives and journey.


If you have not been to a class and enjoyed it, I truly encourage you to try different types of classes before deciding if yoga is for you. The benefits are endless, and you won't regret introducing this practice into your life, even just a little.

I love this! I had always thought I would never be able to do yoga because my perspective was that I wasn’t “flexible” enough for it. However, you and heather both have shown me there is still so much you can do as you progress in your yoga skills. 🥰
